  	Susan C. "Susie" Lang, age 57, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 at her home with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Susan was born August 31, 1956 in Chilhowie, VA to Ernest E. and Alberta McCall Copenhaver. She lived in the Lodi Community in Washington County, Virginia until moving to Rock Hill, SC in 1986. Susan was a graduate of Radford University where she earned a B.S. in Early Childhood Education, a B.S. Degree in Special Education, and a M.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education. Susan was passionate about the education of children in their formative years. She taught school for a combined 32 years in Washington County, VA and Rock Hill, SC. Susan was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and a former member of Rock Spring Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest E. Copenhaver. Susan is survived by her husband of 35 years, Curtis L. Lang of Rock Hill, SC; son Kevin B. Lang of New York City, NY; daughter, Lauren M. Lang of Chicago, IL; her mother, Alberta M. Copenhaver of Meadowview, VA; sister, Cindy C. (Phil) Jones of Meadowview, VA; brother, Gene (Jodi) Copenhaver of Meadowview, VA; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 5, 2013, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. John McClendon and Rev. Susanne Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park.
